The Importance of Church Membership

"So we, being many, are one in body in Christ, and every one members one of another ." - Romans 12:5

The Universal Church, the "Body of Christ," is composed of all true believers in Christ, and local churches are to be the microcosm of the universal church.  As Believers, we have our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life (Revelation 20:15, 21:27), and that is what is most important.  However, it is also important to commit to a local church where we can support the work of God there by the giving of our time, talent, and treasure, serving others, and being accountable.
